Standing 10 feet tall and full of local pride, Cadi the Pig is more than just a statue – she’s a vibrant tribute to the unique history and communities of Trigg County. Crafted in a patchwork-quilt style, Cadi is covered in images that showcase the area’s cultural heritage, from farming and moonshining to wildlife and waterways. Stitched between these scenes are the names of Trigg County’s beloved communities – Montgomery, Roaring Springs, Linton, Caledonia, Canton, Fenton, Golden Pond, Rockcastle, Wallonia, Cerulean, and of course, Cadiz.

Every panel on Cadi tells a story, making her not only a charming photo spot but also a walking (or rather, standing) history book. She proudly represents the spirit of Trigg County – resilient, creative, and deeply connected to its roots.

New Pig Statue!

Spirit of the Game

Get ready for some pig fun! We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of a brand-new pig statue, soon to be a friendly face at the Trigg County Recreation Complex. This exciting addition will join our existing statue, adding even more charm to the area. This isn’t just any pig; it’s a baseball-themed superstar, complete with its own jersey, ready to cheer on all the games!

Dressed in a classic pinstripe uniform with “Cadiz-Trigg” and a bold #1 on his back, this pig represents the heart of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community pride. Unlike his sister Cadi, who celebrates Trigg County history through patchwork art, this pig is all about play – ready with his ball and glove, always in the game. He’s a fun, sporty symbol of the recreation complex’s mission to bring people together through athletics and community spirit.

Right now, we’re inviting everyone to help us name him! Keep an eye out for details on our “Name That Pig” contest, where your creativity could give this statue its official title. And mark your calendars, because we’ll be holding a special unveiling ceremony very soon to celebrate its grand debut!
