As a teacher and artist, Jeannie White has explored a variety of media, her favorite being pastel.
She has developed a spontaneous style which has allowed for a great range of creativity using dramatic values and colors.
Her work has a vibrancy and richness of color plus the variety of effects she creates with pastels using exotic, handmade paper.
The results are stunning.
” I love pulling images out of exotic hand-made paper with great texture” she says.
While living in California she participated in a variety of workshops from prominent and successful artists including Dale Laitinen, NWS, Gary Jenkins, Bela Bodo’ French impressionist, and Penny Soto, SWA,EWS.
She has taught beginner/intermediate pastels, oils, and watercolor classes.
She feels an artist should never stop learning and always be open to new techniques and challenges.
